Croistini

How could something so simple be so good! Croistini is a must for dipping into certain soups, a side to salads or for appetizers.  You can jazz them up with different seasonings and/or herbs as well.

Ingredients

1/4 cup olive oil
1 garlic clove pressed through a garlic press or 1 cube of Dorot brand garlic
1/2 Baguette thinly sliced on a diagonal

Technique

Mix oil and garlic together. Brush both sides of sliced baguette with mixture and bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.  An alternate technique is to spray both sides with Pam, bake as mentioned above and serve or after they are cooked rub a raw garlic clove over the bread.  This is a great way of serving croistini for a mix of people that may or may not like garlic.
