Chive blossoms are a pretty purple flower that grow on chive plants. In the warmer climates like Houston they are appearing now and will be through May and in colder climates sometime in late May through June. I have displayed one of mine that just blossomed below.
Some of you may or may not know that you can cook with them too! They taste like a cross between garlic and of course chives. So if you have them on your plant now give some of my recipes a try or if you live in colder climates keep this in mind when your chives start to blossom!
