This is an extremely easy meal that requires not much time on your part and feeds a crowd. Whole chickens are very economical vs. using chicken breasts and usually there are leftovers to morph into a completely different meal, such as, Texas Style BBQ Chicken Sandwiches.
Ingredients
1 – 4 lb. whole chicken
2 cups of your favorite barbecue sauce
1/2 of a bottle of an amber or dark beer or water
Technique
Rinse chicken and remove any giblets inside the chicken. Place chicken in a slow cooker. Add barbeque sauce and beer. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. Remove, serve on a platter with extra BBQ sauce and enjoy!
