Fall/Halloween Dinner Party (Pumpkin Soup)

Celebrate Fall with all its wonderful flavors!  Most pumpkins make a fabulous soup that is quite similar to squash soup, but you get a decorative bonus by purchasing additional ones and using them as the bowl! I generally let my kids paint them first so we can enjoy them and then carve them out for our soup bowls, reserving the seeds to make Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. If you would like a spicier take on pumpkin seeds try Spicy Chipotle Chili Pepper and Black Pepper Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. I recommend any pumpkin but the carving pumpkins and the white Lumina pumpkin for baking and cooking.  I ended the meal with a classic candy treat recreated as a dessert  Peanut Butter Cups!  Also you can choose to mix and match beverages for your Fall party or Halloween party with family and friends!
